University of Plymouth STEM teachers’ day is available to all teachers of STEM subjects in the South West of England. The day is particularly suitable for Science, Maths and IT teachers and STEAM coordinators. The day is being run in conjunction with STEM Learning.

It will be an amazing opportunity to visit the University of Plymouth, meet with lecturers and find out about the variety of STEM courses on offer. The day will include a tour of the coastal laboratory to see the vast water tank in action, experience a robotics demonstration, visit the high-performance computing cluster, as well as driving a ship simulator used to train mariners. There will also be talks on lasers and a visit to the new engineering building.

Throughout the day there will be a focus on outreach opportunities for schools and career opportunities for students.

Lunch is provided at one of the many restaurants on campus.

At the end of this day conference you will be much better informed about the facilities and STEM courses available to our students at the University of Plymouth and you will have had a great day out.
